چکیده

A study of time dispersion in different indoor line-ofsight radio channels in the 492–862 MHz band is presented in this paper. A combined method to filter the noise in the measured impulse response is described. The effect of frequency windowing on the impulse responses and the root mean square (rms) delay spread is also investigated. It has been found that, in general, the use of windows with lower side-lobe levels yields larger values of the rms delay spread. The relation between the mean delay and the rms delay spread has also been studied for copolar and crosspolar channels. The dependence of the coherence bandwidth on the rms delay spread has been considered, and an inverse relation has been tested for both components.

Coherence Bandwidth and its Relationship with the RMS delay spread for PLC channels using Measurements up to 100 MHz

Estimations of coherence bandwidth from wideband channel sounding measurements made in the 30KHz–100MHz band in several indoor environments are described. Results are intended for applications in high-capacity indoor powerline networks. The coherence bandwidth and the RMS delay spread parameters are estimated from measurements of the complex transfer function of the Powerline Communications (PL...

Analysis and experimental evaluation of the frequency response of an indoor radiating cable in the UHF band

We present the modeling of the frequency response of the channel for a radiating cable system by using an autoregressive model for an indoor environment. The coefficients of the autoregressive model are determined from the experimental channel frequency response. Measurements were carried out in an indoor environment, in particular on the second floor of a university building in the frequency r...

Outdoor Ultra Wideband Propagation Channel Modeling at Vhf/uhf Band

Due to the low power spectral properties of ultra wideband (UWB) signals, the technology is suitable to be used, e.g., in covert military applications. The open literature lacks of UWB radio channel models that are generated for outdoor use. This paper describes the radio channel measurement campaign carried out to increase the knowledge of the UWB propagation mechanisms in typical Finnish fore...

Wideband Measurements of Angle and Delay Dispersion for Outdoor and Indoor Peer-to-Peer Radio Channels at 1920 MHz

This paper presents spatio-temporal measurements for the peer-to-peer radio channel at a center frequency of 1920 MHz with 140 MHz of radio-frequency bandwidth. The measurements were taken using a spread-spectrum channel sounder and an automated spatial probing system that uses precise computer-controlled positioning and orientation of omnidirectional and directional (30 beamwidth) antennas to ...

Indoor radiated-mode leaky feeder propagation at 2.0 GHz

This paper presents the results of narrow-band and wide-band propagation measurements carried out at 2.0 GHz in an indoor environment using a radiated-mode leaky feeder as the transmitting antenna. The narrow-band measurements were devised to measure attenuation of radio signals and the wide-band techniques to measure multipath impulse responses and their associated root mean square (rms) delay...
